Reports of international education organizations play an important role in the formulation and implementation of education policies. These reports, which provide data to understand and improve the performance of education systems at the international level, serve as guidelines for policymakers and practitioners. In this context, to ensure the follow-up of the reports published by international education organizations on education and to share the summaries and recommendations of these reports with policymakers, practitioners, and the public, the Board of Education (the Department of Educational Research) published a bulletin titled "International Education Reports: Summaries and Recommendations."
The first in the series of bulletins, containing summaries and recommendations of thirty-five education reports, was published in September 2023. The second bulletin, containing summaries and recommendations of twenty education reports, was published in December 2023. The third bulletin, containing summaries and recommendations of twenty education reports, was published in March 2024. Following this, the scanning of current reports published by international education organizations continued, and the fourth bulletin was prepared, covering twenty education reports that may be relevant to the current education policies of our Ministry.
In the reports included in the fourth bulletin, the themes of equality of opportunity in education, the future of education, and digitalization in education stand out. In addition, as in the previous bulletins, this bulletin also includes reports on education management, education in crisis and emergencies, and interdisciplinary studies. The reports discuss many different topics such as the inclusion of migrant and refugee children in education systems, increasing the access of children with disabilities, especially girls with disabilities, to digital education tools, holistic education approach practices, early childhood education, monitoring and evaluation processes, the use of artificial intelligence in education, and the development of social and emotional skills.
